Another day in paradise
I am actually applying for a long term sub position for this class. It would be nice to have some stability until the end of the year and the 6th grade teamhere is great. I am supposed to set up an interview today so we will see. It has been very nice as four of the people here have asked me to apply... nice to know they think I am doing a good job.
Well, to be even more fair weather I wrote the above about a week ago and never finished! I have not heard back about the long term sub job but they called yesterday and said that I should be set up with an interview this week. Keep your fingers crossed as Lisa would like a stable job! (We should all be concerned now that I am referring to myself in the third person!) The rub comes now that I have started to settle into the subbing thing, in three months the time will come when I must find another job for summer. Any ideas? I can say that things are definitely NOT boring around here. I truly am not sure how I lasted so long in accounting. I don't know that I could (willingly) go back to a desk job again. Is too nice to always be up and moving and the kids are fantastic no matter what age. I have been giving a lot of thought as to whether or not I should just bite the bullet and look into getting my certification to become a real teacher (as opposed to the fake one that I apparently am right now! :) Similar to Pinocchio wanting to become a real boy, but I digress... Anyhow, I know I would really enjoy it but there are a few snags. 1. Can I teach full time and still manage all that I need to at Oasis? 2. Kind of feel like I am giving up on Youth Ministry if I pursue something else full time. If only the post card from God telling me everything in detail about my life would show up soon... that God, what a crack up! Well as you can tell by my ramblings I don't have much to expound. No news is good news I guess. I am loving the Olympics this year... three cheers for figure skating! I have been staying busy and it seems like I have been attending soccer games for my kids at church like mad lately. Maybe I will actually know something about soccer when all is said and done! Tonight is bible study with some of my best gal pals. Such a pick me up during the week as we have such a great time hanging out and digging into the Bible. Also looking forward to some fun with friends this weekend and a nice trip to the Grisly Rose for a Josh Gracin concert and a little line dancin'!
My real question is, how did these ladies know what I was going to wear tomorrow night to The Rose?!
Yeehaw! Have a happy Thursday!
